Rev. George Cathcart  -  Senior Pastor

Rev. George Cathcart was appointed to Cypress Trails UMC in June 2011. Previously he served as the Executive Pastor and on the staff of Spring Woods.

Don Risinger  -  Minister of Music

Don Risinger has served Cypress Trails UMC in a variety of ways for nearly 30 years is currently providing leadership for the music ministry. Don is married to his lovely wife, Elsie, and is father to four wonderful daughters.

Phyllis Heyer  -  Business Administrator

Mrs. Phyllis Heyer joined the staff at Cypress Trails UMC in March 2009 as our Administrator.  She has worked in accounting and customer service for over 35 years and has several years of experience working as a pastoral assistant and administrator for churches in the Atascocita area.  Phyllis says, "I'm incredibly impressed by the sincere passion of this church family for following Christ and making Him known."  She is married to her wonderful husband and friend, David.  They have a family of five children and fourteen grandchildren.

Dr. Stacey Elsasser  -  Pianist

Dr. Stacey Elsasser has been the pianist at Cypress Trails since 2009.  She is also a member of the church and serves as the Adult Christian Education Director and is on the Celebration Women board.  Stacey has a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and a Master's and Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction.  She says, "I really enjoy the great family-like environment of the church.  People really care for you here and I have most definitely found a church home in Houston!"  Stacey has family and elderly parents in Splendora, TX and recently moved back to Houston to be near them.

Audrey Davis  -  Youth and Children's Director / Nursery Coordinator

Audrey joined the Cypress Trails family in November 2010.  She has served on staff at various churches and has volunteered in youth/children ministries since 2005.  In college she received God’s call to ministry and it's also where she met and fell in love with her husband, Jonathan.  They moved to Virginia and attended seminary together, earning their Master of Divinity degrees in May 2010.  She is humbled everyday by God’s extravagant grace and to be serving alongside her brothers and sisters in the Lord.  In her spare time, Audrey enjoys spending time with her awesome family, couponing, scrapbooking, tap and ballet dancing, cleaning and organizing, and eating the delicious meals her husband cooks.  She is very much looking forward to being a Mom in March of 2012!
