Cynthia was born in Terry Town, New York and lived several years in Medellin, Colombia before moving to the Houston area in the 1980’s. She graduated from Klein High School, and immediately moved into the next phase of her life as a stylist and business owner. Cynthia married her husband, Jeffrey, in 1999 and they have one daughter, Marcela.
Cynthia has been active in ministry at The Woodlands United Methodist Church since 2009. She has served on the Harvest Prayer Team, Caring Ministries hospital visitation and Women’s Ministry. Cynthia has lead multiple Bible studies where she has discipled many women, including those in the Hispanic Women’s Ministry at The Woodlands UMC. The Walk to Emmaus has been a major part of Cynthia's spiritual journey and she treasures her business as a place of ministry. She is also is a Certified Candidate of the Texas Annual Conference of the UMC and is currently in the Hispanic Leadership Apprenticeship Program.
Cynthia believes that when we give our lives back to God, he equips us with gifts to carry out his divine plan and she is excited to serve as the Pastoral Apprentice at Cypress Trails UMC.
